Rivers Swim School is partnered with Swim England, the national body for swimming lessons. This means that children of all ages and abilities can enrol, even if they’re currently learning to swim elsewhere!
There are a wide range of times available throughout the week. Each session is 30 minutes long and courses run for 10 weeks at a time. Each course costs £50, that’s just £5 per lesson!
Track your child’s progress at the centre & watch their swimming improve!
These awards cater for babies, almost straight from birth with limited or no coordination through to those who are water confident and able to move independently. The programme is designed to be a gentle, fun and secure way for young children and parents to be introduced to the swimming environment and develop water confidence.
The primary aim of the teacher is to provide a safe, nurturing environment with a lot of repetition. Children should remain close to their parent or carer throughout the activities to build their security and confidence. All outcomes must be passed to achieve the award.
More information on the Discovery Duckling stages and learning outcomes can be found here; http://www.swimming.org/go/parents/certificates/
Ducklings lessons follow on from Discovery Ducklings or can be picked up before beginning the national Swim England plan.
They aim to familiarise children with the lesson environment and encourage independance in the water. The in-water teacher guides the children through a variety of acitivites whilst parents watch from the side.
After the completion of each stage, a certificate and badge is available at reception.
Ducklings Lessons are available as a 10 week course at Droitwich, Evesham and Pershore for children aged 3-4yrs.
The Learn to Swim Awards 1-7 are divided into progressive stages. They make up the core, national syllabus of learning to swim for primary school aged children.
They are designed to reward your child for their development of the essential aquatic skills they need to be confident, competent and safe in the water.
Each of the Learn to Swim Awards 1-7 stages has a list of clear outcomes that need to be completed in order to gain each award.
