Rivers offers a personal training service to help you achieve your health and fitness goals! Our Personal Trainers specialise in many different areas such as weight management, injury rehabilitation, sports specific training and nutrition.
To ensure you get the best from our service, all personal trainers are hold a minimum qualification of Level 3 in Personal Training.
I have worked in the health & fitness industry for over 16 years and have seen the gym evolve into what is now a state of the art facility. I thoroughly enjoy helping people of all ages and abilities and take pride in developing positive relationships with both my clients and Rivers members.
Over the years, I have taken spinning and circuit classes but strength training has always been my main area of interest. I have previously competed in several ‘Powerlifting’ competitions and utilise heavy resistance in my own workouts. I hope to compete in a few more (before I get too much older!)
I originally trained in martial arts, gaining my black belt aged 18 and teaching my own class. I also competed in a number of competitions.

In my spare time, I enjoy watching and playing cricket and golf and am a keen swimmer.
I have been working at Rivers for 15 years and been training myself for 13 years.
I train 5-6 days every week, working hard every day to keep myself in shape, practicing what I preach. I went from being a 9 stone when I left school at 16, to 12.5 stone and am now the fittest I have ever been!
I have a passion for helping people, motivating clients to get into the best shape of their lives.
I have been working at Rivers since 2008. My time there is divided between working in the gym and instructing a range of group exercise classes- Specifically Pilates, Kettlebells, Spin, Circuits, Metafit™ & On The Ball.
I am an enthusiastic runner and cyclist and enjoy taking part in classes when my time allows.
I specialise in core strength and tone, fat loss, muscle gain, enhanced fitness, improved flexibility and body image.
I can train in many different formats to suit individual client’s needs, ranging from one to one instruction, small group sessions up to large group exercise!
