National Pool Lifeguard Qualification

Rivers Fitness is an RLSS approved training partner. This means that we teach the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) to a high standard.

During December, we ran courses at both Evesham and Pershore Leisure Centre. Lead by our own in house trainer assessors, each course was a resounding success. Everybody passed and gained their internationally recognised lifeguarding qualification.

Dale Jenkins, trainer assessor at Pershore said “Well done to everybody involved, the work put in over the Christmas break has paid off and we hope to see the group lifeguarding with us as soon as possible”.

The NPLQ takes place over 6 days, with an assessment on day 7. Each day the candidates are put through their paces both in the water and with dry side theory work. The basic layout of the course is listed below.
