If you require a wheelchair you are entitled to exchange your outdoor wheelchair for a centre wheelchair – this can then be used for showering when on poolside (available at Droitwich Spa, Evesham and Pershore Leisure Centres)

Large handled rackets are available on request at reception

Large print, Braille and audio versions of our ‘Price List & Facilities’ brochures are available at reception upon request

Magnifying glasses and large grip pens are available from reception

If you require assistance and are entitled to a carer to assist you with your chosen activity, the carer will be admitted free of charge

The Rivers Fitness Rooms have a number of stations that can be adapted to suit most disabilities, please ask an instructor for assistance

Admissions Policy
Swimming
Swimming Parent & Child Sessions

Children attending this session must be of pre school age
-
One parent and child will be admitted for the parent and child price
-
Extra adults or an extra child will be charged at an additional rate
Showers
Health Suite – Sauna, Steam & Spa

A responsible adult (16) must accompany children under the age of 16
-
Children who are 12 – 15 years of age must produce a completed parental consent form
-
Children under the age of 12 are not permitted to use this facility
Fitness Room Admissions
-
Before any customer is admitted into the fitness room they must first undergo a fitness room induction on safe use of the equipment and complete a mandatory health questionnaire. This will be carried out by a qualified fitness instructor

Having completed the induction the customer will be given a Rivers card. This card must be handed in at reception on each visit. Failure to produce this card will result in entry being refused

14 – 15 years olds may use the Fitness Rooms, however they must fill in a parental consent form before an induction takes place

Under 14’s are not permitted to use the Fitness Rooms
Disabled Access
- All Wychavon Leisure facilities are accessible to wheelchair users, with lifts and ramps where appropriate
- All Wychavon Leisure facilities are fitted with dedicated disabled toilets
- Evesham, Droitwich Spa and Pershore Leisure Centres all have disabled changing facilities with hoists and/or adjustable changing beds, and hoist access to the swimming pool
- If you have a specific request regarding disabled access/use please contact the relevant centre directly
Rivers Members

May book 7 days in advance and receive free entry to most activities and reduced rates on other activities. Cards must be produced on each visit

Rivers members are able to cancel bookings up to 12 hours prior to commencement of the session free of charge. Failure to give proper cancellation notice will result in the member being charged for the booking at their next visit
WL Members
-
People holding WL annual membership cards may make bookings seven days in advance and receive a reduced rate of entry on some activities on production of a membership card

Failure to produce a membership card means that charges will be made at the normal rate
-
WL members are able to cancel bookings up to 12 hours prior to commencement of the session free of charge. Failure to give proper cancellation notice will result in the member being charged for the booking at their next visit

If they fail to pay for the booking within 14 days then normal rates will be charged and membership rights will be suspended until payment has been received

Only members may use their card to book courts
Photography
- The use of photographic equipment including cameras and mobile phone cameras are strictly prohibited in all facilities without the prior permission of the Duty Manager
Concessionary Cards
You are entitled to a Concessionary Cards if you are:
- Unemployed in receipt of: a) Job Seekers Allowance b) Income Support
- Disabled and in receipt of: a) Disability Allowance (under 65) b) Attendance Allowance (over 65) c) Independent Living Fund (1993) d) Incapacity Benefit e) Industrial Injuries Disablement f) War Disablement Pension g) Employment & Support Allowance
- Lone Parent in Receipt of Income Support
- Student in full time education

Anyone wishing to use the sunbed must undergo an induction for this area and complete a card at Reception stating any contraindications

No more than one person may enter the sunbed room at a time

Terms and Conditions of Memberships
Six Month and Annual Memberships
Persons wishing to become members must complete an application form accompanied by full payment for the chosen payment option. Upfront memberships attract a discounted rate, therefore if you terminate this membership early you will not be entitled to a refund (this does not affect your statutory rights).
Monthly Memberships

Persons wishing to become members must complete an application form accompanied by payment covering the administration fee, and pro-rated monthly membership fee subsequent monthly membership fees are payable in advance by Direct Debit. Direct Debit payments will be debited on the first of each month

If a member does not attend the centre having purchased a membership, they will not be entitled to a refund of membership fees. This does not affect the 14 day money back guarantee

Wychavon Leisure Community Association Ltd (WLCAL) may from time to time increase the fees and tariffs due to increases in the costs of overheads or other costs. We will give you at least 30 days written notice of any fee and/or tariff increase. You may end this contract at any time before the increase comes into effect by giving us 14 days notice in writing
Membership Cards

Each member will be issued a membership card, which will remain the property of WLCAL and on termination of membership will be returned to the Centre

Members must present the membership card to reception on each visit to the Centre before using the facilities. Any loss of membership cards must be reported to WLCAL immediately. There is a standard administration charge for each replacement card
-
Members must not allow anyone else to use their membership card or membership number. Cards being used by any other person other than the authorised member will result in that membership being cancelled and no refunds will be made
Use of Equipment

In the absence of any negligence or breach of any other legal duty by WLCAL; the use by the member of any WLCAL equipment or facilities is entirely at the members own risk

Regular induction classes explaining the safe and proper use of each item of equipment shall be available to members on joining. Induction classes explaining safe and proper use of each item of equipment must be attended by members intending to use such equipment. The attendance of these classes is the responsibility of the member. The member acknowledges that they must not use any equipment unless they are satisfied that they are competent to do so safely and properly

The member must use the equipment and facilities safely and properly, and take care to safeguard their own health and safety and that of other members
-
WLCAL will not be responsible for any loss or injury to the member to the extent that it is caused by their own unsafe or improper use of the equipment or the facilities

The member acknowledges that they will be responsible for any harm or injury that they cause to another member or to WLCAL to the extent that it is caused through their own unsafe or improper use of the equipment or facilities
Valuables and Liability

In the absence of any negligence or breach of any other legal duty, WLCAL shall not be responsible for or liable to the member for any loss or damage to a member’s possessions which are not locked into one of the lockers provided

The member will not place a combination of items worth more that £100 into a locker
-
It is the member’s responsibility to check that the locker is properly locked and secure before leaving their possessions in it
Upgrade/Downgrade of Membership
If a member wishes to upgrade or downgrade their membership type, WLCAL requires 30 days notice in writing.
Bookings
Members are advised to book at reception to guarantee their place for a group training class or fitness class workout. Members are required to give 12 hours notice if they are unable to attend the session or the current rate for the session/class will be payable.
General

All persons applying for Rivers fitness room access must undertake an induction and complete a medical screening form declaring any known medical condition

Rivers members are required to wear a wristband during each visit to indicate their ‘inclusive activity’ status

If a membership is cancelled, the administration fee will be payable again on renewal of membership
-
Members will only be permitted to use the facilities provided their membership is current and fully paid up
-
Members are classed as adults from the age of 16; however members can use the gym from 14 years of age with parental consent
-
WLCAL may from time to time change or add to these terms and conditions for security, legal or regulatory reasons. We will give at least 30 days written notice of any changes or additions. You may end this contract at any time before they come into effect by giving us 14 days notice in writing

WLCAL reserves the right to reject any application or withdraw without refund any membership in the event of failure to comply with membership conditions or anti-social behaviour

Members are required to pay the relevant scheduled charges for all non-inclusive activities and must retain the receipt for proof of purchase whilst in the Centre
-
Admission is always subject to the facility operating within safe capacities and during times of peak demands, activity session times may be controlled
Termination of Membership
WLCAL requires a minimum of 30 days notice in writing should the member wish not to renew their monthly membership to enable the Centre to update their systems. In such circumstances it is the member’s responsibility to cancel their Direct Debit with their bank. If the member has cancelled their Direct Debit before giving notice or has not paid their fee up to date on the day which the contract ends the member must pay the balance of the sums owing to WLCAL within 7 days.
